Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

SocialQ ("SocialQ", "we", "us") is a social media scheduling tool that lets you compose, schedule, and publish content to your connected social networks. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Account information you give us — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.

Connected social accounts — when you link a network (X, Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn) through OAuth, we receive and store access tokens (encrypted at rest) and basic profile details such as your username, display name, and avatar. We never see or store your password for those networks.

Content you create — the posts, captions, scheduled times, tags, and media you upload or import (including from Google Drive) so we can publish them on your behalf.

Usage and device data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used to operate and secure the service.

  • Essential cookies — a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

3. How we use your information

We use your information only to provide the service:

  • Publish and schedule the content you create to the networks you connect.
  • Delete posts we published for you from those networks, when you ask us to.
  • Show you your queue, calendar, and analytics.
  • Enable team collaboration and approval workflows within your workspace.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

4. Third-party platforms

To deliver your posts, we interact with the platforms you connect — Meta (Facebook and Instagram), X, LinkedIn, and Google (Drive imports). Your use of those platforms through SocialQ is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We transmit your content to a network only when you schedule or publish to it.

We use Meta Platform data solely to provide the publishing and account features you request, in line with Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:

  • With the social networks you connect, to publish the content you ask us to.
  • With infrastructure providers that host and run the service on our behalf.
  • Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can disconnect any social account at any time, which deactivates it and stops further publishing.

When you delete a post in SocialQ, you can also choose to delete it from the networks it was published to. We then ask each network to remove it; a network that does not support deletion through its API is flagged so you can remove the post there yourself.

You may request deletion of your data by emailing [email protected]. When you remove SocialQ from a connected platform, that platform notifies us through our deauthorize and data-deletion callbacks, and we scrub the stored access tokens and profile data we hold for that connection.

7. Security

Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to your data is restricted to your workspace. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children

SocialQ is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
